Zipper Jewelry Exhibition at Snyderman Works

Announcing a new collection of Kate's unique Zipper Jewelry on display at the Snyderman Works Gallery in Philadelphia.

The exhibit opens with a reception on Friday, December 2nd, 2011 from 5:30-9pm
and will be on view through January 14th, 2012.

Zipper Jewelry in "Dubh/Dialogues in Black" exhibit at American Irish Historical Society

Three of Kate's Zipper Necklaces are featured in the exhibit titled "Dubh/Dialogues in Black" which is currently on view at the American Irish Historical Society (991 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY) through November 13th, 2011. The exhibit was curated by Brian Kennedy and focuses on contemporary jewelry and objects that are all black in color but also black in "mood." Following the showing in New York, the exhibition will travel to Ireland where it will appear at Oliver Sears Gallery, Molesworth Street, Dublin from February 2 to March 15, 2012.

This is the second in a series of three exhibitions taking place under the direction of designer Joseph Walsh in an exciting new initiative called STUDIO practice established to facilitate dialogue, build relationships and encourage interdisciplinary engagements between Irish artists, designers and studio makers and their international contemporaries.

Zipper Jewelry at PULSE art fair in LA

A selection of Kate's Zipper Jewelry will be on display in Los Angeles at PULSE, the leading American contemporary art fair. Kate's Zipper Jewelry will be shown at PULSE through GREY AREA, a new gallery-boutique.

Z for Zipper Necklace: ABeCeDarian Exhibition

Kate Cusack's Zipper Necklace, "Elizabeth" represents the letter Z at Facere Jewelry Art Gallery's ABeCeDarian Exhibition.

26 artists were asked to create a piece of jewelry to correspond to a letter of the alphabet. Facere produced a book to correspond with the exhibition. To purchase a copy of the book or any of the pieces included in the exhibition, please contact Facere directly.

Zipper Jewelry: Unlimited Spirit Art Video

Kate Cusack's Zipper Jewelry was the latest feature of the Unlimited Spirit video series created by Swiss luxury watch company, Rado.

Kate Cusack’s zipper jewelry is a culmination of her experiences transforming unusual materials in the world of costume design, window displays and sculptural/wearable designs. The pieces Kate creates are made from seemingly mundane materials and come to life when they are worn.

Kate crafts each piece by hand using nothing but zippers.
She is based in Brooklyn, New York.

Introducing... Zipper Lace: the new series of Zipper Necklaces by Kate Cusack.

This new collection features the metal teeth of the zipper -- without the fabric element of the zipper. The Zipper Lace necklaces are light-weight, graphic and stunning. They are perfect for spring and summer.

Currently, the Zipper Lace series is available at Julie: Artisans' Gallery in New York and The Snyderman Works Gallery in Philadelphia. A select number of new necklaces will also be available through Kate's online store.

Zipper Jewelry at 2011 Oscars

New York Times reporter, Melena Ryzik wore Kate's Zipper Necklace "Bubbles XXII" to the 2011 Oscars on February 27th. Melena Ryzik reports on all the awards shows for the New York Times as the Carpetbagger. She later said, "Every single person I talked to loved your necklace." Thanks Melena!
